Restoration of Augusta's 1935 Art Deco Movie Palace
The Restoration project is complete and everyone is invited to stop by the Augusta Theatre and see the changes! The Augusta Theatre was fortunate to receive a $148,000 matching grant thru the Parks Service, with the support of Congressman Todd Tiahrt.
The "Save our State Street" (SOS) project brought in $23,887.
We thank everyone involved and everyone who has donated to the SOS project and to the Theatre!

Evergreene Painting Studios of New York has replaced the ruined ceiling tiles, repaired and touched up the plaster work, restored the two large murals and repainted the lobby and auditorium!
Craig McCoskey of Andover has replaced the broken black glass on the front of the Theatre!
The auditorium seats have been restored. The floor seats have been made wider. More leg room has been added for our patrons!
The new carpet has been rolled out to welcome you to the "Augusta" Theatre!
As the caretakers of the "treasure" of downtown Augusta, we invite you all to be a part of our very special hometown Theatre!
